This is completely absurd.
The Portuguese coach left Ronaldo on the bench and decided to start the "Portuguese version of Ferran Torres".
Throughout his entire career, Ronaldo had never wasted such a clear scoring chance.
In the match between Portugal and Norway, everyone expected a duel between Ronaldo and Haaland. But the coach ignored Ronaldo, leaving him on the bench and choosing Gonzalo Ramos.
The match started and João Félix scored an amazing goal.
Then Ødegaard took a free kick, and Haaland used the rebound to equalize.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo waited on the bench for his chance, but the coach ignored him entirely.
Later, Ramos had a golden chance but failed to convert it.
However, the Norwegian goalkeeper made a huge mistake: he deflected the ball to Ramos, letting him score Portugal’s second goal.
And all of this happened while Cristiano Ronaldo was still sitting on the bench.
Everyone thought Ronaldo would be furious, but he simply smiled and left the stadium with journalists.
