Manchester United’s dream midfield signing is getting closer. Fabrizio Romano confirmed Tchouameni is United’s “dream” Casemiro replacement — and INEOS are ready to move the moment Madrid open the door to an exit.

Man Utd have already made a formal approach to Tchouameni’s camp to discover his stance on a move, with Real Madrid understood to value him at around £70M — perfectly within United’s budget. 

The backstory is wild. Reports emerged that Tchouameni and club vice-captain Federico Valverde clashed in the dressing room after training, with Valverde ending up in hospital after being knocked unconscious — and Real Madrid announcing disciplinary action against both players.
