6 goals, one legendary CR7 masterclass — Portugal's 2018 run ???????? #shorts #ronaldo #cr7

**Description:**

Portugal arrived at the 2018 World Cup as reigning European champions, with all eyes on Cristiano Ronaldo chasing World Cup glory to match his club success. He didn't disappoint — in the tournament opener against Spain, Ronaldo produced one of the greatest individual World Cup performances ever, scoring a stunning hat-trick including a curling free-kick in the dying minutes to salvage a dramatic 3-3 draw against one of the pre-tournament favourites.

Portugal followed that up with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Morocco, courtesy of another early Ronaldo header, before a goalless-turned-1-1 draw with Iran that saw them scrape through to the knockout stage as group runners-up. Their Round of 16 clash with Uruguay proved to be their downfall — Edinson Cavani scored twice, including a stunning solo effort, to send Portugal home 2-1 despite a late Pepe header.

6 goals in 4 matches, one iconic hat-trick, and a World Cup remembered for Ronaldo's individual brilliance even in a team exit. Relive every goal from Portugal's unforgettable 2018 campaign! ????????⚽
