(11 Jul 2016) Fans watching the Euro2016 final went mad in Lisbon on July 10th 2016 as Portugal beat France 1-0 after extra time to win the tournament.

Fireworks exploded above the Arc de Triomphe in Paris in the early hours of July 11th as crowds made their way along the Champs Elysees after the Euro2016 final.

Tens of thousands of people greeted Portugal on arrival in Lisbon on July 11th, a day after the team won the European Championship for its first major trophy.
Dozens of airport staff gathered on the tarmac to cheer on the players as they arrived from France just after midday.
Captain Cristiano Ronaldo and coach Fernando Santos held the cup up to great cheers on stepping out of the plane.
Thousands of people packed the streets around the airport to greet the team, which travelled in an open-topped, double-decker bus to the Belem presidential palace to meet Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
They were later to begin a parade through the city.
Portugal beat France 1-0 in extra time on Sunday in the final in Paris.

Portugal's football team was welcomed by the country's president at the Presidential Palace in Lisbon to celebrate their victory in the Euro 2016 Championship on July 11th.
Thousands of Portuguese fans gathered outside the palace in the capital to cheer the team and their staff as their arrived there.
The football players later toured the capital on an open bus as thousands greeted them along the parade.
The team took their first major trophy after beating the host nation France in Paris on Sunday.
