Manchester City earned a draw in the 99th minute owing to Riyad Mahrez's penalty, although it was obtained thanks to some theatricality by City's new signing Haaland, who seemed to fall down in the area despite minimal touch from former Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen.

Fans were enraged even more by the Norwegian star's delayed reaction to what he believed to be touch with Christensen, as he looked back over his shoulder before collapsing three seconds after running past him.
