Erling Haaland’s controversial Manchester City goal vs Manchester United explained.

Haaland was initially flagged offside before VAR found him onside. The controversy then centred on Enzo Fernandez’s offside position and whether his attempt to play the ball affected Lisandro Martinez and the goalkeeper.

Pro Ref later acknowledged an “error of judgement” and said VAR should have recommended an on-field review.
