With Jadon Sancho agreeing personal terms with Manchester United until 2026 and the club tabling a bid, I take a look at how he could fit in at Solskjaer’s Man Utd. Where will he play most? What does his arrival mean for Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford? And is Sancho enough to bring the Premier League back to Old Trafford?

After a slow start to the season Jadon Sancho finished the campaign in blistering form, guiding Borussia Dortmund into the Champions League with 16 goal involvements in just 15 Bundesliga appearances. He’s always been in between being a winger and a playmaker but now he’s fully become a unique creator. I’d describe him as a dribbling playmaker. Wherever he is on the pitch his thought is to playmake. Either through dribbles and picking out teammates with crosses like we’ve seen him do for a while now or by slipping in teammates with through balls. This season we’ve seen Sancho play more games on the left wing than the right for the first time in his professional career and I don’t think this is a bad thing. Manchester United have the potential to have a completely fluid front 4 with Sancho, Rashford and Greenwood playing ahead of Bruno Fernandes. Each player is comfortable in multiple positions across the line which will allow them to rotate in game and become much more difficult to stop.
