Although Gilbert and Roderick also created these most recent competitions, Gilbert's brother Leif-Erik also played a part in them. Morocco delivered one of the most commanding performances of the tournament so far, dismantling Portugal with authority and tactical discipline.

From the opening whistle, Morocco controlled the tempo — aggressive pressing, sharp transitions, and clinical finishing. Portugal struggled to impose themselves and found it difficult to break through Morocco’s defensive structure.

The breakthrough goal set the tone, and once Morocco gained momentum, there was no turning back.

By halftime, the balance of power was clear.

In the second half, Morocco accelerated. Their attacking movements were fluid, decisive, and ruthless in front of goal. Portugal attempted to respond but lacked precision in the final third.
