O’Hanlon joins Manchester City on a three-and-a-half-year deal
Tara O’Hanlon has signed her first professional contract with Manchester City.
Born in Dublin, the versatile 18-year-old defender has put pen to paper on a deal which keeps her at the Joie Stadium until the summer of 2027. O’Hanlon will wear the No. 26 shirt.
O’Hanlon played for Bohemians during the 2020 U17 Women’s National League season and moved to Peamount United U17s in 2021.
The teenager enjoyed a breakout senior campaign in 2022, where she made a total of 27 league and cup appearances, scoring four times.
In the following season, she would help Peamount finish as League of Ireland champions, with 2023 also seeing her make her senior international debut against the USA in an April friendly.
Speaking about the move to City, O’Hanlon said: “I’m really excited to be here at City and I’m buzzing to get started.
