“The season really begins now?” Molly Brown isn’t buying Luke Fickell’s message after Wisconsin’s 41-13 loss to Notre Dame.

Molly calls Fickell’s postgame framing “ridiculous,” arguing Wisconsin’s season started the moment the ball was kicked off at Lambeau Field—not after the Badgers got “punched in the mouth” by a national contender.

Molly believes there was a much better message available: acknowledge that Wisconsin played 30 good minutes of football, admit the team fell apart in the second half, give Notre Dame credit and explain how the Badgers will learn from it.

Instead, Fickell’s comments create another question surrounding Wisconsin football: Is the head coach making a difficult situation even worse with his messaging?
