The English Manchester City team secured the top spot in the Champions League, after defeating German Leipzig 3-2, during the match that brought the two teams together on Tuesday evening at the Etihad Stadium, in the fifth and penultimate round of the group stage in the current version of the Champions League competition.

Leipzig's two goals were scored by Luis Obinda in the 13th and 33rd minutes of the first half, while Manchester City's defense was unaware.

In the second half, City scored 3 goals, which came through Erling Haaland, Phil Foden and Julian Alvarez in the 54th, 70th and 87th minutes of the match.
