The pressure on Solskjaer has been ramped over this week after his side lost to Arsenal and more dismally, against Istanbul Basaksehir in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

A fourth Premier League league defeat in seven games this season at Everton on Saturday could seal the Norwegian’s fate at Old Trafford.

And it seems there is already movement behind the scenes with Manchester United looking to line up a replacement ahead of taking a call on Solskjaer’s future at the club.
