Granada 0-1 Manchester United first leg of the Europa League. Man Utd in the early exchanges were lose with their passing & tempo with Granada moving the ball about brightly without giving Manchester United time on the ball to dictate the game-high up the pitch. Man Utd grew into the game from the 15-20 minute mark starting to move the ball about quicker into the wide area's to supply Marcus Rashford & Dan James with some neat runs and half chances to create for Mason Greenwood. Paul Pogba grew into the game from his midfield role carrying the ball forward and using Marcus Rashford as an outlet for most of the first half with the ever-energetic Bruno Fernandes trying to dictate in the final third. Then after some bright play from Manchester United in the earlier exchanges, it was a raking 40-yard pass from Victor Lindelof to Marcus Rashford who run in behind the Granada defence and controlled the ball superbly without breaking stride with Rashford slotting the ball home with ease past the Granada goalkeeper. After Marcus Rashford's goal Granada still attacked the Man Utd defence with most of their play coming down the wide areas with half chances falling for Roberto Soldado and the on-loan Chelsea winger Kennedy. With the first half drawing to a close, the mood slightly changed with Scott McTominay and Luke Shaw picked up yellow cards which gives Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a selection headache for the return fixture at Old Trafford. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made a substitution at half time with Alex Telles coming on for Luke Shaw. In the early exchanges, Granada CF started brightly with Kennedy hitting a fierce half volley which was comfortably saved by David De Gea. Manchester United then started to take control of the game with possession limiting Granada to few chances on the Man Utd goal. Harry Maguire was then also given a yellow card to rule him out and the 3rd Manchester United player on the night to miss the return leg at Old Trafford. The last 10 minutes then seen the game open up with Granada going for the equaliser with efforts from Bruno Fernandes which was saved well from the Granada goalkeeper from excellent build-up play on the left-hand side from Dan James. with the game finishing Granada 1-0 Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still has plenty to think about with McTominay, Maguire and Luke Shaw missing the return leg.
