Manchester United will be looking to make it third time lucky in semi-finals this season, when they face Sevilla at the RheinEnergieSTADION for a place in the Europa League final on Sunday (16th August).

United lost in the final four of both the EFL Cup and FA Cup, and are two wins aware of capturing a first trophy since the 2016-2017 Europa League.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer expects his big players to step up to the challenge and use their previous semi-final frustrations as extra motivation.

Should United reach the final, their last game of the current season will be played on 21st August, with the new Premier League season getting underway a mere three weeks later on 12th September.

But Solskjaer insisted that he had few concerns about the tight turnaround, simply insisting that they are lucky to be in this position.

Spain, previously a dominant force in Europe, are without a side in the final four of the Champions League after Bayern Munich thrashed Barcelona 8-2 in their quarter-final in a performance that Solskjaer described as 'top class.'
