RENATO SANCHES is "more damaged" than people think and thought he was going to play for one of Manchester United, Chelsea or Paris Saint-Germain rather than Swansea, says former Liberty boss Paul Clement.

Clement brought the Portugal star to south Wales on loan by using his contacts at old club Bayern Munich.

Carlo Ancelotti's former No 2 admits he thought Sanches was a "massive coup".
