Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola provided a positive injury update on Erling Haaland following his side’s 4-1 win over Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Norwegian was forced out of the clash through injury, but Guardiola expects him to return soon.

Haaland’s replacement Julian Alvarez scored his side’s opener as City ran out winners following a second-half blitz to keep the pressure on league leaders Arsenal.

With just nine games left in the season Guardiola is realistic about his side's chances of catching in-form Arsenal at the top of the English Premier League and admits one more slip up could cost his side their fifth title in six years.
