Manchester United cannot afford to be a one-man team, but they are — it’s Bruno Fernandes or bust, according to Don Hutchison. ESPN FC’s Craig Burley sternly believes Paul Pogba should not start for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United against Pep Guardiola and Manchester City simply because he’s a defensive liability. Burley expects the likes of Fred, Nemanja Matic and Scott McTominay to marshal the midfield due to their work rate. Has Pogba morphed from the category of world class to just “a good player?” Hutchison and Hislop both agree he’s no longer a top-notch midfielder because he’s simply not consistent enough.
