Many have retained their place in Fernando Santos’s set-up in 2021, including veterans Pep, Jose Fonte and of course Cristiano Ronaldo. But others, like Cedric Soares and Joao Mario, haven’t been so fortunate, with injuries, fitness and inconsistent club form seeing them drop out of the side.
