Portugal's national football team captain Cristiano Ronaldo shared a message of optimism to fans in Lisbon, on Thursday ahead of the EURO 2020 cup kick off.
"Well, our captain is good, I've been working well, me and my companions, our technical body too. We've been very concentrated, working well and that which I hope for and desire is that things come out in the best way, because the work is done," commented Ronaldo.
"We've still need to fine tune some details, but I think the work has been done and now the ball has to roll so that Portugal can do their best, starting off with the right foot to win against Hungary," added Ronaldo.
Ronaldo also called for Portuguese people at home and abroad to maintain a positive attitude as he expressed hope that "things will go well."
Portugal will play their first match against Hungary on Tuesday as part of the group stages.
