Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal play Serbia in Belgrade on Saturday in their second 2022 World Cup Group A qualifier.

Coach Fernando Santos will be hoping for some improved finishing from Portugal after they needed an own goal by an Azerbaijan defender to eke out a 1-0 win in their opening qualifying match.

Ronaldo will be eager to pursue his next milestone, he's seven goals from Iran striker Ali Daei’s record of 109 goals scored for a national team.

But Saturday's match could be trickier than Portugal might have first thought - the home side got their qualifying campaign off to a good start with a 3-2 comeback victory over Republic of Ireland last Wednesday.
