ESPN FC’s Mark Ogden recounts a story of when former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson blamed him for a defeat at Everton and then proceeded to ban him from the club for life. Ogden explains that he wrote about Rio Ferdinand missing the match in the week leading up to the game (which he did), which Ferguson felt gave a tactical advantage to then-Toffees boss David Moyes, leading to United’s downfall at Goodison Park.
