The final game of matchday 2 sees Spain take on Iran. After DR Congo’s shock victory over Croatia earlier, Spain can’t seal qualification mathematically today, but a win would take them to the brink of the knockouts. Similarly, Iran won’t be out if they lose, but their path to the knockouts becomes trickier with a defeat.

Spain make three changes from their win over DR Congo. One is enforced with Diego Costa injured, and Iago Aspas is preferred to Alvaro Morata as his replacement. In more tactical changes, possibly with rotation in mind, Cesc Fabregas and Koke come into the midfield for Iniesta and Thiago. Iran remain unchanged – they’d prefer not to be, but captain Andranik Teymourian and attacking midfielder Ashkan Dejagah remain only fit enough for the bench.
