Cristiano Ronaldo got injured in the euro 2016 final against France after a strong tackle by Demetri Payet. This injury impacted Ronaldo’s knee and forced him out of the game after a pain staking set of minutes where he tried to stay on the pitch and continue to uplift Portugal in perhaps the country’s biggest football moment. In this video we are going to look into the the injury and how it occurred but also the treatment Ronaldo would have received.

If you don’t know me already my name is Matthew Feyissa and I am a 3rd year medical student, with no sports being on because of the coronavirus I thought to make a set of videos on some historic injuries in football. If you like this one I have done in the past is on Daniel Sturridge so go check that out after this. Before we start drop a comment down below on what other injuries you would like me to cover, drop a like and make sure to subscribe to the channel.
