The 2024-25 season takes a step closer on Monday when Manchester United begin their pre-season campaign away to Rosenborg. Training for the new campaign has been underway for most clubs for a little while and preparations are gently being ramped up, despite last season not seeming so long ago and Euro 2024 finishing just 24 hours before this friendly. The squad making the trip has not yet been named yet but is expected to feature a number of youngsters, such as James Scanlon, Habeeb Ogunneye, Will Fish, Toby Collyer and Harry Amass. Ten Hag is expected to play two different XIs across the two halves with senior stars such as Marcus Rashford, Mason Mount and Andre Onana available. Harry Maguire has featured in pre-season training but it is not yet clear if heis fit to play after injury ended his 2023-24 season early. United will more than likely take a young side to Norway for the first of five friendlies this summer, which features trips to Edinburgh, Los Angeles and South Carolina before the Community Shield in just under a month’s time...
