Who can afford Erling Haaland #shorts
Hello and Welcome back to our channel Goal Side! Even though it has only been seven months
since Erling Haaland moved to England, he has already taken the Premier League by storm. This,
however, has not stopped people from talking about his future, despite the fact that a move to
another country is still a ways off.
The previous year, there was a lot of chatter coming out of Spain regarding Real Madrid's
intention to sign the striker in the future, and there were rumours that his present contract has
a Real Madrid-specific release clause.
This was disputed by the club, and Ben Jacobs reaffirmed it in his most recent exclusive column
for CaughtOffside, where he wrote: "It's not true that there's a Real Madrid-specific release clause, and Pep Guardiola has gone on record refuting this." In point of fact, his contract contains no active release clause; however, things will alter slightly in the summer of 2024 when a €200 million release clause starts to kick in; this provision can only be triggered by clubs that play in leagues other than the Premier League.
