Healthcare in Europe is provided through a wide range of different systems run at national level. There’s no ‘One Size Fits All’ policy. Efficiency is one of the central preoccupations of health policy-makers and managers. So, how efficient are EU member states’ health systems; and what are the key differences between the public and the private ones? A Euranet Plus multilingual debate discussed these issues and asked: “What can the European Parliament do to improve the health systems in the EU?” The debate, broadcast live from the European Parliament in Brussels, was held in German and English.
