There have been three editions of the Torneo Internacional de LaLiga Promises and FC Barcelona have won all three of them. The U12A side defeated Valencia 2-0 in the semi-finals and then won 3-2 against Real Madrid in a close final. A Jan Molina goal and a double from Iker Bravo ensured the trophy returned to Barcelona a second after winning the Torneo Nacional de LaLiga Promises in Villareal.
It was a real test for Barça in the final and they passed it with flying colours. The match was closely-fought and both teams played well. The blaugranas took the lead through Jan Molina in the fifth minute. Hugo de Llanos responded with a brace to make it 2-1 by the 24th minute. As the match went on Pau Moral’s team kept playing and they looked to overturn the scoreboard. The goals eventually arrived and the U12A side won the trophy once again. Iker Bravo gave his side the lead and the trophy a minute from the end with a fabulous header to make it 3-2.
The U12A side secured the double in what was a special tournament. The victory was dedicated to Solo Traoré, a teammate who wasn’t allowed to travel to the US as his visa was denied. The trophy was a fantastic end to the season for all involved, but especially for Pau Moral who leaves the U12A team to become the coach for the U12D side.
