Noel Gallagher: 'Camp Nou is an amazing place'

The world famous musician visits 'the iconic stadium in world football' prior to a concert in the city supporting U2 with his new band the High Flying Birds

Noel Gallagher was in town on Tuesday with his band the High Flying Birds to support U2 in their concert in Barcelona. The legendary musician and songwriter made a trip to FC Barcelona's home his first stop in the city before having to meet up with Bono and co later in the evening.

Known for his love of football and no stranger to great stadiums around the world, Gallagher, however, was left opened mouthed in admiration by the grandeur of Barça's home ground . “It´s the iconic stadium in world football, it´s an amazing place," said the man who formed the world famous Manchester band Oasis alongside his brother Liam.

Alongside his current bandmates and his fwo fellow football-mad sons took a tour of the stadium, posing for pictures with the UEFA Champions League trophy and Barça´s brand new 2017/2018 jersey.

Despite being a famous Manchester City fan, a club now coached by former Barça legend Pep Guardiola, Noel Gallagher could not his his admiration for the current blaugrana team, in particular a certain Argentine striker. “They´re all great footballers, of course the main one is Messi, he´s a legend," said the Mancunian before heading off to prepare for his performance at the Olympic Stadium in Barcelona.
Later in the evening, Noel paid homage to Barça, wearing a retro shirt on stage at the concert.

Noel Gallagher visitó el Camp Nou aprovechando su presencia en Barcelona con su banda británica de rock High Flying Birds, telonera del concierto del grupo U2 en el Estadio Olímpico de Montjuïc. Gallagher actuó con una camiseta vintage del Barça, y declaró así su simpatía hacia el Club.

Antes el músico y compositor, conocido por su afición por el fútbol, visitó el Estadio. Gallagher mostrarse boquiabierto con las instalaciones azulgranas.
