Chaotic scenes have erupted outside the accommodation of the remaining Iranian women’s football players after five members were extracted in a secret operation overnight.

Supporters of the team were seen lying in the path of the bus as it departed the Royal Pines Resort, believed to be heading to Coolangatta Airport and flying to Sydney.
