Manchester United made the brighter start to the game, sharper and more lively. The high press was suffocating Tottenham and they were coughing up the ball in their own half. United were first to every loose ball, anticipating second balls better and just started the game with better urgency. Martial hit the post earlier before finishing from a narrow angle after a well weighted through ball from Perreira. United's first half dominance began to frustrate Spurs as they began to become very needly with rough play, fouls and scuffles which helped break up the momentum of the game and minimize the flow of the game. As the game then dwindles into half time with Spurs only having one opportunity to show for themselves which was an opportunity gifted to Delle Ali by loosing the ball around the edge of our own box but Alli failed to capitalise. The second half was a very sporadic dull affair that wasn't the most watchable half of football you'd ever hope to seen.

The Second Half lacked quality and United's press in the second half wasn't nearly as intense, was that down to tactical intervention or just lack of mobility in the second half team. Tottenham did pull one back through a deflected shot by Lucas Moura that left Romero helpless but Angel Gomes managed to score the winner 10 minutes from time after a tidy one two with Juan Mata before slotting home with competent ease.

Manchester United managed to pick up another win in pre-season with a 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur. Anthony Martial and Angel Gomes got the goals! I'm gonna be analysing the game to give you a review of all the action from our match against Spurs.
